The Megastar Sharon Cuneta has confirmed that her husband, Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan will run for vice president in 2010.

"Yes as vice president," Cuneta told reporters in a press conference for her upcoming comedy film "Best Friends Forever (BFF)" with Ai-Ai delas Alas on Monday.

The Megastar made the statement after being asked by reporters if her senator husband was really gunning for the second highest position in 2010.

With this announcement expect new controversies and old scandal that will emerge once more to pin Pangilinan down. Is this means that their will be showdown between Senator Kiko and actress-Governor Vilma Santos in 2010 if she also run for VP? Sen. Pangilinan got nothing to lose and everything to gain, as he still a senator until 2013.

"Is she running for VP? But you know Ate Vi naman is not only an actress, not only a politician but she is also a wife, hindi ba? And I think although we are very close and if we turn it around and if I run for vice presidency and Ralph was running for at the same time obviously naman hindi ko naman ini-expect na ako ang kampihan niya, mali 'yon. Dapat doon siya sa asawa niya, hindi ba? 'Yong kay Ate Vi ay maiintindihan niya ako," Cuneta said.
